Taunggyi University, located in Taunggyi, is the main University in Shan State, Myanmar. The University offers bachelor and master degree programs in arts and sciences.
Taunggyi University was established in 1961 as an intermediate, College. It was promoted as Regional College in 1977 and known as Taunggyi College in 1981 and then Taunggyi Degree College on 12.2.1986 and Taunggyi University was started on 17.8.1992.
